Peanut Blossoms from Hershey's Kitchens via Allrecipes.com 1/2 c. shortening (or butter) 3/4 c. creamy peanut butter 1/3 c. white (granualted) sugar 1/3 c. brown sugar 1 egg 2 Tbl. milk 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 (8 oz) pkg Hershey's Kisses milk chocolates, unwrapped 1/4 c. white sugar for decoration 1. Heat oven to 375°. 2. Beat shortening and peanut butter in a large bowl until well blended. Add 1/3 c. granulated sugar and bown sugar; beat until fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well. 3. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl; gradually beat into peanut butter mixture. 4. Shape dough into 1" balls. Roll in granulated sugar and place on cookie sheet. 5. Bake 8-10 minutes, or until lightly browned. 6. Immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie. Cool on wire rack.
